Optical tray study

Upper & lower coverage

Current compact upper and lower designs: two cameras and two combined light modules per arch, with 30 mirrors on the upper and 24 on the lower, placed as mirror-image pairs searched against 7 upper and 6 lower arches at once (the figures below are for the reference arch), and the actual housing included in the optical paths. The coverage shown is one seated pose of a multi-shot prescription; see Specifications for the full hardware detail.

Coverage report · both jaws

Static geometric coverage is the main comparison. A camera path, a structured-light path and sufficient ray separation are required; successful pattern decoding and measured accuracy are separate validation steps.

How to read these results

Green shading interpolates evaluated surface samples; it is not a reconstructed scan. All four channels—white light, structured light, visible-light fluorescence excitation and near-infrared—are included in the proposed module packaging. Fluorescence and near-infrared diagnostic performance have not been measured.

All designs use provisional component dimensions. Passing the geometric checks does not establish focus, manufacturing tolerance, thermal performance or 20–50 µm accuracy. Open Methods & validation for the assumptions and checks.
